Ms. Micah Edwards, Arch Ford CTE Instructional Facilitator, prepared an escape room activity for Mrs. Stephanie's Principles of Banking class. Students were faced with multiple challenges that involved determining key attributes of successful employees, identifying common banking services and their purposes, and completing basic banking transactions such as deposits and withdrawals, then balancing their teller drawer to ensure that all documentation and funds matched.

West Side eSports Roundup - Eagles on Brink of Playoffs
Fortnite Duos - The Fortnite team of Stephen Paden, Bentley Wallace and Levi Terrell blanked Marked Tree 2-0 on Oct. 28. They will face Walker (La.) and Walnut Ridge in back-to-back matches on Monday and Tuesday.
Smash Bros. Ultimate - It was another week of firsts for the WSHS eSports program, as two Smash Bros teams were victorious on the same day. Team 1 (Ian Harper, Tadeo Hernandez, Ramon Hernandez) defeated Parkview Magnet, 3-1, on Wednesday. With a win next week, Team 1 will qualify for the AAA state playoffs for the second season in a row. Also on Wednesday, Team 2 (Thomas Shue, Tucker Polley, Mason Parks) pulled out a last-match win over a tough Johnson County Westside squad, 3-2. If Team 2 wins next week, the "Nuggie Munchers" have an outside shot at making the state playoff field of 64.
Mario Kart - The Mario Kart team lost a back-and-forth affair against Melbourne on Oct. 30, despite first-place finishes by Brooklynn Stephenson, Ramon Hernandez and Tadeo Hernandez. The MK team will wrap up their fall regular season on Thursday.

Each year, West Side honors a special member of our school family through a Pink Out shirt fundraiser. The proceeds are presented to the honoree during our annual Pink Out Night.
This year, we were proud to honor Traci Bailey with a special presentation from the West Side High School Student Council. Traci is a devoted mother and grandmother who has spent countless hours giving back to her children, grandchildren, and the West Side community. 💕
In addition to Pink Out, West Side hosted the second annual Duffield Gravel Junior High Tournament, which celebrates outstanding supporters and fans of West Side athletics.
This year’s honoree was Victor Bailey, a lifelong resident and dedicated supporter of the Greers Ferry Lake area. Victor was presented with a plaque, and his name was added to the Super Fan plaque displayed in Brady-Hipp Arena—joining Jeanette Wright and Junior Fife.
The Bailey family has been, and will continue to be, a cornerstone of the West Side community.
💗 Thank you, Traci and Victor, for your unwavering support of West Side athletics and your lasting impact on our entire community!
