West Side eSports got back on track with a hotly contested win over Haas Hall Academy on Wednesday. The Super Smash Bros. team of Caleb Cross, Kolby Lockard and Jordan Ragsdale took the 3-1 victory on Lockard's late-game sweep.

If you are a community member or parent of a West Side student and are willing to serve on the Title I Planning Team, please contact Matt Irwin @ matt.irwin@westsideeagles.org Among other things, this team will:
**learn about the Title I program and the use of Title I and other federal funds; and
**provide input on the various ways that Title I and other federal money might be utilized in support of students' needs -- academic, emotional, or physical.
The team will meet about three times a year. Parent representation from the Elementary and High school will be important.

Spring photos and sports photos are set for tomorrow, April 2. Kindergarten cap and gown photos will also be taken. The following high school sports will be photographed: baseball, softball, boys basketball, boys tennis, boys and girls golf, track, and cheer teams. Student/athletes will need access to their uniforms.

The baseball team plays a makeup road game vs. Hillcrest at 4 pm Friday. Varsity only.
We will be hosting our EMPTY BOWLS SOUP NIGHT in a corner of the new cafeteria from 4:30 -6:30 pm on Thursday evening (during the Parent-Teacher Conferences). This is a service project by our local National Art Honor Society to raise money to fight hunger.
All students taking a 9-12 art class this year contributed a bowl they made to our EMPTY BOWLS project. For $10 a supporter will receive a bowl of soup, bread or crackers, a bottle of water and a ceramic bowl or dish made by a West Side student or Mrs Caples. All profits from this project will be donated to a local organization to fight hunger. Please come and help us as we help others.

9th grade orientation for this year's 8th grade students and parent will be held in two sessions, 4 pm or 6 pm Thursday, March 28, during Parent-Teacher Conferences in the High School Boardroom. This informational meeting will present graduation requirements and course offerings.
