Congratulations to Ashlyn Cossey and Madison Gomez on being selected to attend Arkansas Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day!
This prestigious event, hosted by the Arkansas Department of Education, recognizes some of the top academic seniors across the state. Each high school in Arkansas is allowed to select just two students who best represent outstanding academic achievement, making this a truly special honor.
Students and their parents attend a formal ceremony at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion, where they are recognized for their hard work and dedication, receive a certificate from the governor, and are celebrated alongside other high-achieving seniors from across Arkansas.
Ashlyn and Madison represent the very best of our school, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments. Their commitment to excellence in the classroom has earned them this well-deserved recognition.
Please join us in congratulating these outstanding students!

Congratulations to Jaiden Bible and Mallory Smith for being selected to attend Arkansas Boys State and Arkansas Girls State this summer!
Arkansas Boys State and Arkansas Girls State are prestigious leadership and citizenship programs that give high school juniors a hands-on experience in how government works. Students create and run their own mock city, county, and state governments, learning about civic responsibility, leadership, and teamwork along the way. These programs are highly competitive and provide an incredible opportunity for students to grow as leaders and engaged citizens.
Jaiden and Mallory are pictured here with American Legion and VFW Post 4513 member Mike Culpepper.
A special thank you to the American Legion of Fairfield Bay, who graciously sponsors the tuition for selected students to attend Arkansas Boys and Girls State each year. Your continued support makes a lasting impact on our students and community!
