Kindergarten registration for next year will be from 8:30 to 2 pm Friday, April 19, at West Side Elementary. Parents of students who are 5 on Aug. 1 are asked to bring the student, up-to-date shot record, doctor's physical, Social Security card, and birth certificate.

After a rough start to the spring season -- marred by close losses and technical problems -- the Eagles have won two straight to build momentum for a playoff run. Elementary School Spring Music Concerts are just a few weeks away! Grade 1 & 2 concert is Tuesday, April 23. Grade 3 & 4 concert is Thursday, April 25. Both concerts will be in the cafeteria starting at 2:20 pm, and should be about 20 minutes long. Our Singing Eagle Choirs will have their concert on Wednesday, May 8. They start at 2:15 and their program should last about 30 minutes. All parents, grandparents, elementary students and staff, and the community are invited to hear some wonderful fun music!

Mrs. Cherie's Elementary Art Club just finished their two color block prints. Printmaking consists of making your own stamp and making multiple copies of a piece of art. Such talented kids!

West Side teachers Mica Rose and Holly Shaw spoke yesterday to a group of administrators from across the state at Arch Ford Educational Service Cooperative about the PLC at Work process, a district initiative focused on one goal: Improve student academic outcomes. It was a 2-0 week for West Side eSports as the Eagles' Mario Kart squad defeated Maumelle Charter School on Thursday. The team of Jordan Ragsdale, William Cantafio, Kolby Lockard and Caleb Cross overcame technical issues to take a 2-0 sweep.
