The Eagle golf team, with a team score of 258, claimed victory over four teams at Mountain Ranch Golf Course with West Side's John McDermott earning medalist honors with an 83. Keegan Towell shot 91; Jessy Nail, 94; and Mason Hart, 96. Mount Vernon-Enola was runner-up with 267.

The Lady Eagle golf team beat Quitman, 267 to 302, at Mountain Ranch Golf Course with West Side's Lainee Gentry taking medalist honors as the match’s top golfer, shooting a 79. Her teammates were Kately Cornett, 93; Macy Gentry, 95; and Lilly Southerland, 101.

Yesterday Mrs. Debbie Smith's 6th grade ELA classes were introduced to their upcoming Module Content. Students participated in a Great Depression simulation, where they had to use dice and situation cards along with various math skills to see if they could get through 7 months of the depression without becoming homeless. What a great way to get a small glimpse of what's ahead.

The Eagles finished 3rd today at Tannenbaum Golf Course: Keegan Towell shot a 43 to lead the way for WS finishing 3rd overall. Srs Jessy Nail and Mason Hart both finished in top 10 with 46s.

Today, the Lady Eagles won a 4-school golf match at Tannenbaum with WS girls finishing 1st-4th for the win: Lainee Gentry, medalist, 42; Kately Cornett, 43; Lilly Southerland, 48; and Macy Gentry, 49. Lilly (pictured) had the Shot of the Day: She holed out her 2nd shot for eagle in tough par 4 4th hole.


Starting this Monday off right with our K-6 Principal, Resource Officer, and Chief of Police. Hope everyone has a great week!
