School Resource Officer Donald Crispell and Coach Davis, Dean of Students, recently did a presentation for 6th-8th grade boys on the importance of watching what you say to others and treating others respectfully. Among some of the topics discussed were threats/terroristic threats, cyberbullying/bullying, the drawbacks of rumors, avoiding truancy, and legal implications of battery. Coach Davis said he wanted to remind these students they had 2 options when it comes to relationships among peers: Get along or stay away from each other. He stressed "see something, say something" so that students can be a part of the solution rather than a part the problem. Each presentation last 45 minutes. They plan to do more and involve other groups as the year moves on.

Congratulations to Mrs. Stephanie and our FBLA students for being the 2023/24 Class 1A High School Blood Drive Champions! Thank you to all of the students, staff, and community members who contributed!

Most people might know Mr.Johnny Ramsey as the guy who fixes computers when they are not working. When asked what he does, Ramsey says that he does “all things IT”. In a school that's a lot of things. Some examples are making sure the bells and doors are on schedule and that all security cameras are working as they should. When asked if he gets appreciation for what he does Ramsey says the appreciation he gets is "very unique”.
He said, 'I don’t get a thank you most times but I don't know of any person that doesn't appreciate someone helping them and getting it done quickly.’ Even though most people don’t say thank you he still feels appreciated. He said helping people is also what motivates him to continue working as hard as he does. The final question he was asked was, “If there are any, what are the downsides of your job”?
Ramsey answered this by saying “ The only downside to this job is when I can’t fix something immediately.” So next time you see Mr.Johnny Ramsey you might want to give him a thank you or even an atta boy because I know we all appreciate it when our Chromebooks work.
