West Side Elementary EAST is taking donations for Tennessee flood victims at three locations in October.
Every class ring tells a student’s story and these kiddos met with Jostens today to get information on designing their own personalized ring very soon. They were excited to get started on this once in a lifetime event!
Good luck to Max Gipson and Lainee Gentry along with Coach Keith Brown as they compete today in the High School Overall Championship today at Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock. This Championship includes the top three golfers in each classification 1-6A. Pleasant Valley will play host later this month to the first-ever PGA Tour Champions event held in the state of Arkansas.

It's Scholastic Book Fair time! From October 11-17, come experience the limitless possibilities with your kids. Every purchase benefits our school. Hours are 8:00-3:30 with extended hours on Thursday from 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. during Parent Teacher Conferences. We accept cash, check, credit/debit cards and ewallet.

Elementary Beta is hosting Socktober for the rest of the month as its first community service event. For the rest of October, you can bring your new socks to your homeroom teachers.
The annual flu shot clinic for West Side School students will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. This is a great opportunity to have your child vaccinated against the flu without having to take them to an office or clinic. Flu packets will be going home with students today. If a student does not turn in all completed forms by Monday, October 14, 2024, that student will NOT receive a flu vaccine. There is no cost to get the vaccine. This clinic is for students only. If you'd like for your Pre-K student to receive a flu shot, a parent or guardian must accompany them. Please call the school nurse with any questions.
Mrs. Teresa's Elementary GT kids recently had a visit from All in Bloom florist to talk to kids about a career as a florist. Thank you Ms. Donna and Ms. Linda. The kids enjoyed learning to make bouquets!
