Positive Office Referral: Ayden Tackett "At the ballgame, Ayden Tackett went and helped Mr. Waters put up his musical equipment without being asked. It was very nice to see a student lend a helping hand when not told to do so. Way to go, Ayden!" -- Ricki Stevens

For the second consecutive year, West Side School is proud to participate in the Polar Plunge, benefiting Special Olympics Arkansas. All proceeds go toward funding Special Olympics events, and purchasing medals, ribbons, and food for the athletes. Any donation big or small is appreciated. Every year, thousands of people jump into freezing cold water to support Special Olympics Arkansas. By plunging, they help bring opportunity and inclusion to over 19,500 Special Olympics athletes and young athletes across the state. If you would like to sponsor a plunger, or be a plunger yourself, go to https://www.flipcause.com/secure/fundraiser/MjAwNjUz/94867. Last year, West Side’s Polar Plunge raised $2,600 for Special Olympics Arkansas, earning the district the title of “Cool School.” This year's plunge is scheduled for Friday, February 23.
