West Side's junior girls play at noon Saturday and the junior boys play at 1 pm Saturday in the Quitman Junior High Tournament.
West Side senior basketball teams play in the First Service Bank Classic at Clinton next week ...
The Senior Girls play Valley Springs at 4 pm Monday, and the Senior Boys play Watson Chapel at 5:15 pm Monday. The boys division is a pool-play format.
Yesterday was "Time Travel" day at West Side! Students and faculty chose past or future dates to dress up as!
Tomorrow will be Destination: Hollywood! Come with movie attire!

West Side spent some time honoring our veterans today. Mrs. Teri's Eagle Choir, Mrs. Cherie & Mrs. Caples' art students, and Mrs. Teresa's GT students did a fantastic job. Thank you, Veterans, for your service to our country!

The Homecoming Parade begins at 8:30 am Friday at City Park and continues to the school. Let's Paint the Town Green & White!
West Side Elementary had lots of fun with our first day of Homecoming Week! We even had the kitchen sink for anything but a backpack day!
West Side Elementary enjoyed a fun assembly with the NED Show. The NED Show promotes positive behavior and perseverance and incorporates yoyos into the message. Yoyos will be on sale soon with Ms. Jamie Brown.
West Side Elementary and High School students participated in the Holiday Cards 4 Our Military challenge, sending 436 cards to New Hampshire, where they are dispersed to U.S. service members all over the world.
The results from the 5th & 6th Grade Class Pet Presidential Campaign are in, and the winner is...Frank the Frog and his Vice President, Bubbles the Goldfish! Before the final voting took place, students in 5th and 6th grade held a campaign rally, made posters, and worked in cooperative groups to write speeches and prepare for a debate. During the debate, the two parties faced off to convince their classmates to vote for their candidate.
There will be a Veterans Program in the West Side Cafeteria at 9 am on Monday, November 11th. All families and community members are welcome to attend.
