West Side Picture Day is Wednesday, September 16th. All students, faculty and staff need to have their photos taken at this time. We will send picture order forms home with students next week. If you wish to purchase photos, please send the completed form and payment with your child on September 16th. That will also be the day for seniors to take cap and gown pictures and formal portraits. Senior girls need to wear a white tank top and senior boys need to wear a plain white tee-shirt. Seniors will then receive an order form about three weeks later with payment information and different photos to choose from. We would like for our Lake Town Virtual Academy students to have their portraits made as well. We will take pictures for LTVA students before in-school students to minimize contact. On September 16th, elementary LTVA students will need to arrive at the school cafeteria at 8:00 am, and high school LTVA students should arrive at 8:30 am. Pictures for senior sports banners will also be taken on the 16th, so senior athletes will need to bring the uniform of their choice.

This survey is important to public school funding. Please take the time to complete it before the deadline of September 18. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Educators, families and community members are invited to participate in an online survey to gather feedback on education funding and other education issues in the state. Augenblick, Palaich and Associates (APA) is conducting a school finance study for the Arkansas House and Senate Education Committees. The Committees and APA believe that incorporating the perspective of educators and the community in Arkansas is essential to the study, and will be gathering feedback on multiple study areas, including: What it means for students to be college and career ready when they graduate, Educational opportunities for students around the state, How well districts and charter systems in the state can attract and retain staff, and Education resources and funding in Arkansas, including the state education funding matrix and additional funding for specific student groups. The survey is open to all educators and the public until September 18th and can be found at the following link: apasurvey.link/arkfeedback To contact APA with any questions or regarding any technical difficulties, please visit www.apaconsulting.net
