
West Side EAST students had a great time at EAST Conference 2024! Congratulations to the High School program for winning a Judges' Choice Award! Our EAST facilitators and students are already looking forward to next year!











West Side first ever welding competition today. Students from West Side, UACCB and UACCM participated. CJ Parks of West Side was first. Landon Dodson of West Side was second, and Braedon Rushing of UACCB placed third. Randy Carr, welding instructor, thanked Welsco, Ernie Murphree, Keith McKnight, Jeff Parks for donating prizes, and Dark Threat Fabrication for donating and cutting the metal. Also, he thanked Cody Richey for the providing barbecue, and Tag Green and Kyle Taylor for judging the competition. First place was awarded $500 second $300 and third $200. I would like to thank everyone who came out and supported these students.



STAR STUDENT: ZOEI BREWER
Congratulations to Mrs. Michelle's 1st grade Star Student, Zoei Brewer. Zoei received a certificate and goodie-filled water bottle from SRO Crispell because she demonstrates Grit and determination in the classroom. Way to go, Zoei!

Alivia Brett is Mrs. Debbie's 6th grade Star Student because she shows GRIT in the classroom. Alivia received a certificate and water bottle from Officer Donald for her character. Congratulations, Alivia!


Spring photos are set for Tuesday, April 2. Spring formal order forms will be sent home with elementary students. Any high school student wanting spring photos should see Mr. West for an order form. Kindergarten cap and gown photos will also be taken. The following high school sports will be photographed: baseball, softball, boys basketball, boys and girls tennis, boys and girls golf, track, cheer teams. Forms will be sent home with student/athletes, who will need access to their uniforms on Picture Day.

West Side Elementary enjoyed a special guest this week! Meteorologist Nathan Scott from THV 11 this week talked to the students about the upcoming solar eclipse as well as the severe weather in Arkansas. Thanks to Miss Jessie & Mrs. Robin for organizing the event!

Mrs. Layne's 5th graders are taking advantage of the beautiful weather while having math class!


Spring casuals, kindergarten graduation, and spring high school sports photos will be taken the morning of Tuesday, April 2.. Parents, please make sure students are looking their best!

Preschool registration packets for 2024-25 are available in the Elementary School and in the Preschool foyer for children who turn 3 by August 1. Applications are not accepted until April 1.
