After finishing her main project early, Carey Bunton decided to celebrate her childhood by felting a “Thinking Chair” out of polyfill fiber and colored yarn. Since every chair needs someone to sit in it, her friend Ellie Hardin made “Blue” to accompany the chair.

Jesse Sharp was chosen as Mrs. Rebekah's star student for showing courage in the classroom! He received a water bottle filled with goodies and a certificate from Officer Donald Crispell! Congratulations, Jesse!

Parents, agri supporters, and the public are invited to the FFA Banquet, which includes a dessert auction, awards, and food, at 7 pm Tuesday in the Cafeteria. The banquet follows kindergarten graduation.

What a great way to end the week at West Side Elementary! Mrs. Amy did a great job of organizing a fantastic fun day for our kids. Thank you so much to the parent volunteers for helping to make this day a success!

West Side was well represented at the Cleburne County Spelling Bee this week! Congratulations to Matthew Sutton for being the 1st Grade Winner, Blayde Carlton for being the 2nd Grade Runner-up, and Chloe Galeazzi for winning 1st place in 3rd Grade!
West Side’s baseball team (27-4) finished runner-up in the 1A State Tournament, falling in the title game, 10-2 , to the Taylor Tigers.

We have over 100 coats and jackets in our elementary lost and found. If you are missing something, please come check it out and claim lost items!

Our first grade students enjoyed fun-filled days of camping activities this week! From making smores to reading in their "tents" and fishing in their "stream,' they even had an afternoon scavenger hunt.





SOAR enjoyed their year-end celebration to Matthews Park and Urban Air!

Poor Jack was found guilty in the 5th & 6th grade mock trial too! So fun involving the whole building in the trial today! The GT kids have worked very hard on this unit.
West Side invites the public to join the seniors of the Class of 2024 and their parents in celebrating commencement exercises at 3 pm Sunday in Brady-Hipp Arena.




West Side 3rd-6th grade had a fun-filled afternoon of swimming at the Fairfield Bay Hart Center. This was for students who had excellent behavior! We are fortunate to have a certified lifeguard, Beth Jones, on staff to help with these events.




Mrs. Cherie would like to thank everyone who participated in their year's art show! The winners received art kits to help them continue to enhance their love for art!
