West Side is so blessed with a wonderful cafeteria crew, and we celebrated them last week with a small token of our appreciation for all they do.

Following their championships in the District Tournament last night, the varsity softball and baseball teams will play at 3 pm Thur 5/8 in the 3-day Regional Tournament hosted by West Side. The baseball team plays Crowley's Ridge Academy; the softball team plays Hillcrest. Brackets will be posted when finalized by the AAA.

West Side dominates the diamond! The Lady Eagles Softball team is the 2025 1A-2 District Champions and Conference Runner-up. The Eagles Baseball team takes both the District and Conference titles. Huge congratulations to Coach Shane Davis on reaching his 300th career win! 💚🤍🦅🥎⚾️
Mrs. Rose’s 9th grade physical science students used water bottle rocket construction in April to investigate Newton’s Laws of Motion, acceleration, altitude, and engineering practices. The students did an awesome job! Some rockets went over 350 ft when launched at a 45 degree angle. When launched at a 90 degree angle, many rockets exceeded 250 ft! Mrs. Norma Harper-Irwin volunteered multiple days to help Mrs. Rose’s 9th grade students with the bookkeeping and financial aspect of their rocket building businesses.
