The West Side Elementary Quiz Bowl team had a great time at the Arch Ford Regional Quiz Bowl this week. Despite having three team members out sick and a replacement coach, the team was seeded 4th going into the afternoon pool play. They came up short, but still did a fantastic job!




It's Gameday: Senior Girls and Senior Boys basketball today, 6 pm, at Wonderview.

West Side GT students recently visited Arkansas State University in Jonesboro for a college tour.


The senior girls are a 4-seed and the senior boys a 2-seed headed into the 1A-2 District Basketball Tournament, which begins Monday at West Side. The girls play Viola at 4 pm Tue 2/13, and the boys have a bye until Thu 2/15.

STAR STUDENT: KAYDANCE KEVER
Kaydance Kever is Mrs. Rachel's 3rd grade Star Student. She received a certificate and other goodies from Officer Donald because she is honest. Congratulations, Kaydance!

For the second consecutive year, West Side School is proud to participate in the Polar Plunge, benefiting Special Olympics Arkansas. All proceeds go toward funding Special Olympics events, and purchasing medals, ribbons, and food for the athletes. Any donation big or small is appreciated.

West Side Archery recently competed in Regionals at Pangburn. Braycen Carlton placed 5th overall in boys elementary with a score of 214, with two bulls-eyes! Annabelle Rutledge placed 4th overall in girls elementary with a score of 89. Congratulations to both of these young archers!

Congratulations to Bryce Brown for being selected as Mrs. Debbie's Star Student! Bryce received a water bottle filled with goodies and a certificate because he demonstrates honesty. Way to go, Bryce!

The Community Blood Drive began at 9:30 am at WSHS to save lives . it lasts until 2:30 pm. with drop-ins very much appreciated! Premiums include a T-shirt, entry into the Museum of Discovery, and a free bundlet cake.
Tonight's Senior Night ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm immediately followed by the Senior Girls and Senior Boys ballgames.

The elementary and high school choirs did a phenomenal job singing the National Anthem and at halftime of our games last week! They will perform again tonight, so come out and support these kids!
