West Side will supply students with everything they need for school ... pens, notebook, paper, highlighters, crayons, calculator, etc. About the only thing families might consider is a back pack, which is not required.

F.L.I.G.H.T. students enjoyed a visit from the staff at Cleburne County Extension office who talked to them about healthy eating, showed them how to make tortillas in a bag and quesadillas, and let them grind their own wheat. They finished up the program by making living necklaces using pinto beans.

West Side student Jacob Smock earned a score of 5 on the AP English Language & Composition exam, with 5 being the highest score possible. Only 9 percent of AP students taking the test in 2024 were able to attain that perfect score, making this a great achievement for Jacob and West Side. Fellow ascending senior Stevi Oplinger scored a 3, a mark good enough to earn college credit. Excellent work, Jacob and Stevi!
