
The wins kept coming for West Side eSports on Wednesday, as the Eagles downed Tuckerman High School 3-1 in Super Smash Bros. The team of Stevi Oplinger, Tadeo Hernandez and Ian Harper was victorious for the second straight week. Also, for the second straight week, Hernandez won the final four games to put the opponent away. In the tradition of Eagle eSports legend Kolby Lockard, Hernandez has 10 straight games without a loss. West Side will next face County Line in Mario Kart action on Thursday.


New Opportunity!


Delta Captain Jim Verser visited with Mrs. Teresa's Elementary GT students this week to discuss his career as a pilot. The kids had fun making gliders and competing with Captain Verser!

Mrs. Stephanie’s Financial Planning students participated in an escape room activity prepared by Arch Ford CTE Instructional Facilitator - Micah Edwards.
Students were faced with multiple challenges that involved determining net pay, establishing a budget, preparing an emergency fund, and evaluating how financial decisions impact credit scores.

Tonight's game is focused on pink out for cancer awareness. As you enter, please look for the table with pink ribbons so you can write about a loved one affected by cancer. A special presentation is planned between the SG and SB games.

High School EAST students recently spoke to 6th graders about Halloween history and safety.









West Side Elementary EAST is taking donations for Tennessee flood victims at three locations in October.


Logan Fife had a great year at the Arkansas State Fair.

The home basketball games vs. Concord (JG, SG, SB), previously scheduled for Fri 11/8, have been rescheduled for Thu 11/7. Tipoff of the junior girls game is 5 pm.

Mrs. Debbie's 5th graders are researching the differences between squid and octopuses and making arguments related to their novel, Island of the Blue Dolphins.
