West Side senior teams play Thursday and Saturday in the Pangburn Classic basketball tournament.
• Thursday games in Arena vs. Heber Springs: Girls at 6:30 p.m., boys at 7:45 p.m.
• Saturday games in Arena: boys vs. Perryville at 12:30 p.m., girls vs. Des Arc at 1:45 p.m.
The high school band plays under the direction of Richard Ward during the annual Christmas Concert on Tuesday at the West Side Cafetorium. The band performed religious and holiday favorites.

Mrs. Holly’s 6th hour class works together on a STEM project to build a Christmas tree out of gum drops and toothpicks. The goal was to build one bigger and steadier than Mr. Devin Carr’s 6th hour class.

Saturday’s ACT at West Side Canceled
The ACT national exam scheduled for Saturday, December 8, at West Side High School in Greers Ferry has been canceled due to impending weather,which will likely make roads treacherous for student drivers.
Students who are scheduled to take the exam should monitor the ACT website for information about the rescheduled exam date. Students will also receive an email from ACT when the exam is rescheduled.

The finals of the junior high Greers Ferry Lake Classic Tournament, originally scheduled for tomorrow, have been moved to Wednesday, Dec. 12. The girls final between Quitman and Clinton will be at 5 p.m., and the boys between Shirley and West SIde will be at 6:15 p.m..
