How many years have you been teaching/in education? 35 years.
Where did you graduate high school? Canyon Del Oro High School in Tucson, Arizona.
What was your favorite subject in high school? English.
Why did you become a teacher? All I have ever wanted to be is a teacher.
What is your favorite part of teaching at West Side School? I love being with the kids. They teach me every day.
What is your favorite characteristic in your students? Their enthusiasm for life.
What are your hobbies outside of school? I like to read, crochet, spend time with family, and travel.
Who is your biggest role model and why? My English teacher in high school is my biggest role model. He started a fire in me for teaching.
How much longer do you plan to teach? I can't picture not teaching. I would say about 5 more years until my last kid is out of college.

What was your favorite subject in high school? Creative Writing.
Why did you become a teacher? I started teaching to make a difference in the lives of kids.
What is your favorite part of teaching at West Side? The highlight is simply the kids and helping them prepare for their future.
What is your favorite characteristic in your students? Their drive to succeed is especially inspiring to me.
What are your favorite hobbies outside of school? Some of my hobbies include reading, church youth activities, and spending time with family.
Who is your biggest role model and why? My parents are my biggest role models because they always put God first and worked hard to provide for me and my brother.

ELEPHANT BUS ROUTE CHANGE ... Attention riders of the Elephant Bus, driven by Mr. Hardin … The times of both the morning and afternoon routes \will be significantly different for some riders. On the morning route, Mr. Hardin will begin in Higden with the first stop at 6:50 a.m. He will continue through Greers Ferry, past the Edgemont Bridge and turn around at the former KFFB Radio location near 7:15. From there, the bus will work its way to campus. The afternoon route will leave campus for the former KFFB location and end in Higden. For Tuesday’s first day of school, morning riders will need to approximate the time along the new route and arrive early at your designated bus stop. Virtual Arkansas’ Concurrent Campus will reopen registration Monday to fill seats that have become available in the following fall classes: Comp I, College Algebra, World History I, Beginning Spanish I, and Experiencing Art. A community health fair will be combined with Elementary and High School Open House for students and parents from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The health fair, which includes a blood mobile, will take place in the cafetorium. High School students may pick up schedules in the lobby of Gathright Gym.
