From Nurse Rachel: Letters are being sent home to students needing medical records and vaccines for this school year. Please check with your student to see if they have received a letter. The most common vaccines missed are Tdap at age 11, meningitis vaccine for 7th grade entry, and a second dose of the meningitis vaccine at age 16. If your child is in any of these categories and you do not know if their shot record is current, please call Nurse Rachel, your doctor's office, or the local health department to check. Deadline to receive shots is October 1st. If you have chosen immunization exemption for your student, those letters are due as well.
