Mrs. Amanda's 4th graders are learning to sort texts by genre. They had a great time sorting into narrative, expository, and opinion pieces.

The West Side Cross Country team representedThursday at the Bomber Invite. Brooks Hipp finished 10th in the Junior Boys race. For the Junior Girl's, Kadence Dilks was 10th, and Katie Davis finished 13th. Haley Gentry finished 2nd, followed by Sarah Carlton coming in 9th for the Senior Girl's. Travis Gentry was 5th, Dax Hipp 6th, and Carson Stark finished 10th in the Senior Boys race. Ways to go Eagle Cross Country!





West Side First Priority invited students, faculty, and community members to join in prayer on Wednesday morning for the annual See You at the Pole. FP Leaders, Kelby Smith, Zack Birmingham, Channer Smith, and Grayson Inzer led the prayer session.

Mrs. Robin's 6th graders enjoyed the beautiful weather while doing a "float your boat" challenge in science class.

Mrs. Amanda's fourth graders are getting their groove on with Go Noodle for inside recess!


Parents should be looking for Interim Progress Reports of on-campus WSHS students, who received midterm grade report today at school. The reports must be signed by a parent or guardian and returned to school. Progress reports of virtual students have been mailed.

WSHS also had some fun with Constitution Day last week. Mrs. Hutson's Civics class did some role playing in class.




Third graders in Mrs. Layne's science class chose an insect to research and complete a report on. They then designed their insect using clay.
