
Mrs. Cherie's 6th grade art enrichment students made a totem pole in coorelation with Mr. Caleb's Native American Cultural Groups unit. These particular totems represented the Northwest people group.


3rd & 4th Grade GT students created "bone bridges" for a Halloween STEM challenge. Ashley & Easton created the strongest bridge!

Requests should only be submitted one time. You must have reserved tickets in order to enter as there will be no tickets available at the entry gate. The survey link will close when tickets have been exhausted.

The first elementary chess club meeting was a huge success! We had ten 4th-6th grade students that stayed for the meeting! Our next meeting will be November 30th.



Due to Friday being a virtual day, students may choose to wear their pink out shirts or their superhero outfit on Thursday for Red Ribbon Week. The ball game Friday night against Pangburn will still be Pink Out night for anyone attending the game.

Don't forget that Friday, October 30th is pink out day! Wear your pink to school and the games against Pangurn to show your support!


Employee Spotlight: TRACI BAILEY
Mrs. Traci has been working as a Preschool Aide for four years at West Side. She enjoys hanging out with her family and watching her kids and grandkids play sports.

School dismisses early at 2 p.m. Thursday for Parent-Teacher Conferences, which will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Only parents who have scheduled an on-campus appointment with a teacher should visit the campus. Based on feedback from the survey regarding virtual days, the board of education tonight approved virtual days on the following dates for this semester: Oct. 30, Nov. 13, Dec. 11.
Students will have the option to work virtually off campus on these dates, or students will have the option to attend on site on these dates. Instruction will be virtual. Buses will still run bus routes and meals will be prepared for breakfast and lunch.
Feedback will be solicited from parents later this week regarding where your child(ren) will be this Friday in order to most effectively plan.
More details will be shared in the near future.

Hooray for red day in PreK! Mrs. Ashley's preschoolers were lots of red for Red Ribbon Week!


Picture Retake Day is set for Thursday, November 5 at West Side School. Fall sports photos will also be taken at this time. All students, faculty and staff who did not have their picture taken earlier must show up for retakes.

As a celebration to the end of the first quarter/9wks. We had Mr. Brain and Terri Kinder with Kindersongs perform their Spooky Concert virtually for Pre K-6th Grade!





Employee Spotlight: KIMBER MURRAY
Kimber is a dyslexia tutor at West Side Elementary and has worked here for two years. She enjoys watching movies and reading in her free time.


Mrs. Amy is teaching scooter safety in PE, and the kids are having a blast!





Tickets for the West Side 7G, 7B, JB @ Pangburn basketball games on Monday, October 26 will be sold online. Parents of ball players will need to click on the below link to purchase their tickets. General Admission tickets are $5 by debit or credit card and you will receive a scannable ticket. Either keep the ticket on your phone to be scanned or print the ticket to be scanned.
