
Friday, Jan. 22, is a Virtual Day for WSHS students, and all students are eligible to learn from home unless they have no Internet connection available. Students may also attend campus for all or part of the day. For attendance purposes, students are counted "present" when they complete and submit assignments by 3:08 p.m. Friday. Questions? Hannah received the star student award for Mrs. Kelli's class in December for showing compassion to others. She received a certificate and goodie-filled water from Officer Donald Crispell.

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: DEVON HICKS
Mrs. Devon is a dyslexia interventionist at West Side. This is her third year at the district, and she enjoys spending time with her daughter in her free time.

West Side Elementary teachers and staff celebrated the halfway mark of the school year last week with pizza and salad! Thanks to those who provided and cooked for us!


Photographers will be on campus on Friday, January 22 to retake the fall sports team photos, as the original photos did not turn out. Student-athletes will need to be in the Brady-Hipp Arena at 8 a.m. on Friday and should bring any sports uniforms currently in their possession.

Mrs. Orene is teaching the K-6 students about integrity this month in counseling. The 6th grade class found quotes that described integrity. Wyatt Olive helped design the lunchroom bulletin board.

Lake Town Academy students who have an all-virtual schedule in Grades 7-11 must report to Brady-Hipp Arena at 8 a.m. Monday, January 18, and Tuesday, January 19, for NWEA Map testing. Students need to bring a Chromebook with full a charge and a charger. Testing should be complete about 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. Students who attend campus for any one course will be testing on Jan. 25-26. West Side will host Calico Rock on Jan. 15 at 5:00 for junior girls, senior girls and senior boys basketball games.
