The Lady Eagles senior girls basketball team is hosting Tuckerman tonight at 5:00 at Brady-HIpp Arena. The senior girls game will be the only game played tonight.

Basketball Schedule Update: West Side Sr Girls will play Tuckerman at West Side Monday, November 9 at 5:00. This game will be followed by a Sr Girls JV game.

Basketball Schedule Update: West Side Sr Girls and Sr Boys will play Bergman at West Side on Friday, November 13 at 5:00. Ticket details will be released on Wednesday.

Parents, to take Friday as Virtual Day, students will qualify for the remote learning option if (1) grade in every course that is a "C" or above and (2) no more than a total of two missing assignments. No student is required to learn remotely.

Phoenix was presented with a certificate and bag of goodies by School Resource Officer, Donald Crispell, for her demonstration of being responsible in Mrs Layne's 3rd grade classroom. Congratulations, Phoenix!


Employee Spotlight: CHERIE HUGHES
Mrs. Cherie is the elementary art teacher at West Side. She has been at the district for three years. She enjoys crafting, gardening, and watching her fiance', Heath, race when she isn't at school.


STAR STUDENT: AXEL BLEVINS Axel was selected as star student for the month of October in Mrs. Tonya's kinderarten classroom. The character word for the month was responsibility. Way to go, Axel!

Employee Spotlight: KAYLEN ROGERS
Kaylen Rogers is a receptionist at West Side School. This is her 20th year with the district. She enjoys doing things with her granddaughter in her spare time.


Mrs. Cherie's 5th grade art enrichment students completed totem poles to correlate to their lessons in Mr. Caleb's social studies class. Their totem pole represents their Northwest People groups.


STAR STUDENT: LILLI SOUTHERLAND
Lilli Southerland was chosen as Mrs. Kelli's 5th grade star student for the month of October. Lilli was presented with a bag of goodies and certificate by SRO Crispell for her demonstration of responsibility in the classroom. Way to go, Lilli!

West Side Senior High Cross Country teams competed today in the 1A State competition at Hot Springs. The Senior Girls brought home the State Championship title! Haley Gentry placed 4th and Kadence Dilks placed 5th. The Senior Boys placed 3rd in the state with Travis Gentry
taking the 6th place finish, Dax Hipp in 7th, and Carson Stark finishing 8th! Way to go Eagles!



West Side will be celebrating Homecoming Week November 16th-20th. Homecoming ceremonies will be on Thursday, November 19th at 6:30 in the Brady-Hipp Arena.


4th-6th Grade GT students showed off their Passion Project work during parent-teacher conferences last week. Pictured are Trinity McElroy, Dawson Baker, RJ Adcock, and Tyler Dunigan.





The Book Fair is coming to West Side School November 9th-13th. Students may shop from 7:30-3:20 in the library. Unfortunately, parents are not allowed to shop with their child this year though.
