It is National School Counseling Week and West Side has two of the best! We are truly blessed to have Mrs. Terri Cornett as our high school counselor and Mrs. Orene Morgan as our elementary counselor. Thank you two ladies for all that you do for our school and kiddos!

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: TRACI TATE
Mrs. Traci has had several roles in her fifteen years at the district. She is currently the head of our dyslexia, RTI, and SOAR programs. She enjoys spending time outdoors kayaking, hiking, and playing with her dogs as well as crocheting and spending time with her family. West Side is lucky to have Mrs. Traci!

As a culminating activity for their Ancient Greece unit, the 3rd-6th grade GT students are holding "junior olympics" for the K-2 students this week. Amberlea received the Star Student Award in Mrs. Jennifer's second grade for January. The character word for the month was integrity. SRO Crispell presented Amberlea with a certificate and goodie bag.

A BIG night for West Side Athletics! Three new 1A State Title Banners were unveiled at the Brady-Hipp Arena as athletes and their coaches were presented with their State Championship Rings! Congratulations to all!

Keith Brown is the Athletic Director and high school boys basketball coach at West Side. He has been here for three years. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and hunting when he isn't on the court.
