If your student has recently turned 11 or 16 years old, they need to get required vaccines for school attendance. Students turning 11 years old need a Tdap vaccine and can get their 7th grade meningitis vaccine at the same time. Students that have turned 16 need a second dose of the meningitis vaccine. Christmas break would be an excellent time to get this taken care of without missing school. Please call your local health unit or your student's doctor to see if your child needs vaccines for school.
