Beginning Monday, March 15th, West Side School will be able to provide rapid COVID-19 testing for symptomatic students and staff members. If a student or staff member would like to be tested to return from quarantine early, they must make an appointment with Nurse Rachel or Nurse Kay by email or phone. Students under the age of 18 will not be tested without a parent present.

Mrs. Amanda's 4th Grade students practice identifying types of figurative language by reading various books and identifying figurative language then creating a flipbook and illustrating various non literal sayings. The "timed" game Kahoot, played on the smartboard, is an exciting way to review these skills and prepare for a test! Students are learning that not only is figurative language used in our daily speech, but writers also use it to make their writing more vivid!

STAR STUDENT: SAGE SCHOPP Congratulations to Sage Schopp for being selected as Mrs. Sonjia's 2nd grade Star Student. Sage was chosen because she has demonstrated perseverance in the classroom. Officer Donald Crispell presented Sage with a certificate and water bottle filled with goodies. Way to go, Sage!
