Congratulations to West Side Anglers: Ty Hewitt, Landon Dodson, Logan Fife, & Grayson Inzer! The boys all caught some fish on Greers Ferry Lake in April. Logan and Grayson teamed up for a weigh-in of 5.32 and Landon and Ty had a combined weight of 7.15. Way to go boys!

West Side is ready to go fishing! Arkansas Game & Fish have stocked 300 catfish into Bittle's pond for the West Side SOAR/Angler Fishing Derby that will be held on Saturday, May 1st from 2-7pm! Come on out and enjoy!




Very few pre-k slots are remain available, but we are still taking registration for the 21-22 school year. You may pick up a registration packet from the West Side ES foyer, then return the completed application to the West Side ES office. Your child must turn 3 by August 1, 2021 to be eligible.

West Side's Annual Senior Recognition Ceremony will be held Monday, May 10, 2021 at 12:30pm in Brady Hipp Arena. All seniors and their parents or guardians are invited to attend. We will celebrate the many successes of our seniors , including both college bound and workforce bound students.

West Side SOAR & Anglers would like to extend a huge thank you to the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission for their help in making the fishing derby possible. The Game & Fish not only provided the materials with the FINS program, but they also stocked the pond with 300 catfish!

West Side Welding recently competed in the their first virtual SkillsUSA State competition. Despite the changes necessary to compete this year, the Welding Fabrication team of Barrett Smith, Brenton Knapp and Jared Cothern still brought home gold! Tanner Fife won gold and Asa Carr won bronze in the welding competition. Congratulations to the boys and Randy Carr!
