West Side Seniors recently took the ACT WorkKeys Exam. We had students earn Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze!

West Side FFA is proud of member Laiden Lindsey who has been chosen to be in The Teen Program at the Little Rock Zoo. Laiden filled out an application, wrote an essay and interviewed for the position. He will be attending a 3 week camp this summer and then will continue to volunteer on a regular basis for year round activities at the zoo. As part of the program Laiden will learn about different aspects of the Zoo, wildlife conservation efforts and conservation education. He will then help zoo staff provide engaging experiences that inspire people to value and conserve our natural world.

The West Side School Art Students are participating in the Greers Ferry Lake Art Show sponsored by Delta Kappa Gamma International. It will be held at the big Eagle Bank in Heber Springs across from the Gem Theatre. Artwork will be on display to view today through the 28th of March from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Winners will be announced shortly.
The annual Greers Ferry Fishing Derby for kids 4 and up will be held from 9 am to noon Sat 4/5.

West Side FFA members competed at the Arkansas Northwest District Career Development Contest at Arkansas Tech University and our Floriculture Team advanced to the State Career Development Contest in early April at the U of A in Fayetteville!
