How many years have you been teaching/in education? First year!
Where did you graduate high school? Westside in Jonesboro.
What was your favorite subject in high school? English.
Why did you become a teacher? Wanted to make a change in students' current lives and futures, through music.
What is your favorite part about teaching at West Side? Seeing students achieve something new on their instruments.
What is your favorite characteristic in your students? When students are hard workers and push themselves when they run into a challenge.
What are your hobbies outside of school? Like to read, play the flute, and talk to friends.
Who is your biggest role model and why? As a college student, the biggest role model was, Dr. Laboritz. She is such a strong, smart woman in her field.
What made you want to join band in middle school? My older sister was in the band so I thought I would try it out. I actually knew in middle school that teaching music is what I wanted to do in the future!
