For the first time in history of the state Golf Overall Championship -- which combines all classifications small to large in one tournament -- a school had four qualifiers. It has been a great year for the West Side tennis teams! Kelby Smith and Sarah Carlton won the girls doubles district championship besting their teammates Sam Corpier and Sidney Severns in the 2A-5 Tennis District Tournament held October 4-5 at West Side. The girls tennis team was also crowned overall girls tennis district co-champs with Conway Christian! Asa Carr and Travis Gentry finished in 2nd place in boys doubles and Channer Smith and Zack Birmingham finished in 4th place.

West Side boys doubles win back to-back state titles!
Boys doubles team Asa Carr and Travis Gentry, coached by coach Devin Carr, won the boys doubles state championship today, and the boys team captured state runner-up honors. Last year, Gentry won the doubles title with Ashton Klepko, who graduated in May, and the team also finished runner-up.


West Side Picture Retake Day is set for Monday, November 15. Retakes will be offered to those who were absent or bought pictures that they felt were "zoomed in" too close. Senior portrait retakes and fall sports pictures will be taken on the same day. Fall sports includes basketball, cross country, tennis, golf, and cheer. Student-athletes will need to bring the appropriate uniforms.

The West Side Elementary SOAR students would like to show off their new skills on the ukulele. We would like to invite you to come listen on Thursday, October 14th at 4:30 p.m. in the new cafeteria. The song they will be performing is Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Down on the Corner."
