Because of their finish in league play, West Side's senior teams received a bye in the District Tournament next week at Shirley. The girls will play the Timbo-Concord winner at 4 p.m. Wednesday. The boys play a semifinal game at 5:15 p.m. Friday.

West Side's junior girls and boys advanced to tonight's semifinals of the District Tournament at Viola. The girls play Concord at 4 p.m., the boys play Concord at 5:15 p.m. The finals are at 1 and 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

Congratulations to our local 5th-7th grade spelling bee winners! The Fifth grade winner was Robby Whitaker and the runner up was Kolton Long. Sixth grade winner and runner up were Haygen Smith and Trinity McElroy, and the Seventh grade winner and runner up were Lexi England and Lainee Gentry. Each of these students will go on to represent West Side in the County Spelling Bee.
