Keegan Towell’s 96 led the Eagles in a match at Mountain Ranch Golf Course. Mason Hart shot 101, and John McDermott, Jessy Nail, and Laiden Lindsey each shot 110. Jessieville won the match.
The Lady Eagles picked up another golf victory over three other schools at Mountain Ranch Golf Course. As medalist in the match, Lainee Gentry led West Side shooting an 82. As a team, they defeated No. 2 Jessieville, 272 to 311. Macy Gentry shot a 90, Kately Cornett 100, and Lilly Southerland 101.
West Side Elementary will have a one-day book fair in conjunction with our Grandparents Day Celebration on Sept. 8th!

The Junior High and Senior High cross country teams competed at Melbourne yesterday, with strong performances by three junior high girls, Taylor McKinney, Madison Stevens, and Everleigh Palenske -- who are 7th graders. Junior Jaiden Bible placed 67th of 106 in senior boys.


The UA's Office for Education Policy evaluated ATLAS Summative scores at the school level, highlighting schools with a large jump in the percent reaching proficiency in each subject. West Side Elementary School made the list in Science with an increase from 35% proficient to 51% proficient from 2024 to 2025. West Side School District will be closed on Monday, September 1st, for Labor Day!

This summer, our basketball teams hosted a "skills and drills" camp for elementary students. Today, they received their t-shirts for participating. West Side Athletics would like to send a special thanks to Terrance Osborne and his company, "The Real Deal," for supporting the camp and school and donating all the t-shirts!

Students and community members are invited to gather at the flagpole to pray. This means that, all around the world in every time zone, for 24 hours, students will be praying for their school, friends, families, churches, and communities.
