Mrs. Rose’s 8th grade Earth science students held a zoom meeting today with a paleobiologist as part of their fossil unit.
Miss Jenn Wagner from UC Berkeley grew up in Shirley, attended UCA and Baylor, and is now enrolled in the PhD program at Berkeley.
She talked to the students about Earth history, dinosaurs, fossils, and how she studies plant fossils across the USA. She is planning on participating in a field study in Australia in the near future. Students asked questions on a lot of subjects.
These students are in the process of researching different eras and periods of geologic history in order to learn more about the Earth through the fossil record.

The Elementary EAST Conference team is working hard on the backdrop for their project presentation program in March.

This week's Book Vending Machine Winners are: Joseph Orrell, Kennedy Dilks, Hunter Martindale, Cal Barker (not pictured), Sage Schopp, Cannon Gould, and Effie Smith!
