West Side Elementary is ready for the Eagles basketball game tonight in their first round of the state tournament! Students made signs and cheered for the boys in their walk through prior to dismissal today. Go West Side!

Mrs. Kelsey's Preschoolers wore red and blue for Dr. Seuss Week in honor of Red Fish, Blue Fish!
West Side School does monthly fire drills, and yesterday they paid off. Our 5th & 6th grade building had some smoke from a heat and air unit that set off the fire alarm, so the building was evacuated. The faculty did an excellent job of making sure everyone was safe, and the kids conducted themselves very responsibly. Thank you to our local fire department for their quick response time, and for the local heating and air company for already replacing the unit.
Just a reminder that West Side Preschool Registration for the 2021-2022 school year will be on March 19th from 8:15-3:00! Packets are available now for pick up in the elementary foyer.
STAR STUDENT: PARKER BIAMA
Mrs. Wanda's February Star Student was Parker Biama. He was chosen for demonstrating perseverance to his classmates and received a water bottle filled with goodies and a certificate from Office Crispell. Congratulations, Parker!
West Side Juniors took the state mandated ACT on Tuesday. A community member donated two Sonic gift cards for a random drawing
for students taking this test. Kendra Harness and Caden Brown were the lucky winners! The Junior class is thankful for the school and community support.
