
Please make plans to attend our Veterans Program on Friday, November 10th at 6 pm in the cafeteria. Our local Girls Scout Troop, Eagle Choir, and GT students will be paying tribute to all veterans!


As part of Red Ribbon Week at West Side, Tracy Starks, a community health nurse specialist from Arch Ford talked to our elementary students about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and smoking



Mrs. Cherie's elementary art club created felt monsters by designing, gluing on features, and then sewing their creative creatures together. What a fun project!


The West Side Mario Kart team raced past Mammoth Spring, 2-0, on Thursday to improve to 5-1 (10-2) on the season. The "Turtle Tyrants" are, left to right, Kolby Lockard, Jordan Ragsdale, Maggie Ott and William Cantafio.


As part of our Red Ribbon Week, West Side had a presentation from the Morgan Nick Foundation to learn about online safety.



Mrs. Debbie's students recently read about sharks and shared 3 facts and pictures to demonstrate their understanding of summarizing.

Mrs. Haley's PreK class had a lot of fun for team jersey day and playing with members of Student Council for Red Ribbon Week!








Congratulations on Allison Moorehead and Amber Griffin for recently placing in the Lion's Club annual Peace Poster contest. This year's theme was Dare to Dream. Allison placed 1st with her poster of an artist creating masterpieces. Amber placed second with her poster depicting a young woman battling breast cancer, hoping to bring more light to the subject. A huge thank you to Mrs. Erlene Hankins and the Lion's Club for this opportunity. Great job, girls!




Our annual West Side Thanksgiving lunch will be on Friday, November 17th for pre-K-6th grade! The deadline to return your form is Monday, November 6th! No walk-ins will be allowed on this day. The cost for adults is $3.25 and for children not in school is $2.00 each. The deadline is November 6th to sign up!

Mrs. Robin's Star Student is Layla Guynes! She received a water bottle filled with goodies and a certificate for her honor. Thank you, Layla, for being kind to others!


Congrats to Bentlee Justice for being Mr. Caleb's Star Student! Bentlee does a great job of showing kindness to others and received a certificate, pencil, and water bottle filled with goodies for his excellent character! Way to go, Bentlee!


Congratulations to Khloe Guynes for being selected as the Star Student in Ms. Jessie's 4th grade! Our character word for the month was kindness, and Khloe demonstrates kindness to everyone! Keep up the great work, Khloe!
