Evening folks. As you may know, tomorrow (4-11-19) begins the window for our ACT Aspire State Testing in grades 3-6. It is important that your student gets a good night's rest and arrives to school on time. The results of the ACT Aspire affect our school's ESSA Report Card and therefore makes your child's performance on the assessment even more important. Over the next two weeks four more sections of Aspire will be administered. (April 16,18,23,25)

The West Side Elementary Early Childhood Program in Greers Ferry is still taking applications for the 2019-2020 School Year. To be eligible for the program, children must be three or four years old BY August 1, 2019 AND live in the West Side School District. There are private pay and ABC funded positions available. Early Childhood Program registration will be held on Tuesday, April 16 from 5:00-6:00 pm in the school cafeteria.

Today's baseball and softball games vs. Shirley, previously scheduled at West Side, have been postponed. The baseball team will play a doubleheader tomorrow against Shirley, rather than the game scheduled vs. Bradford.
West Side Anglers Tanner Fife and Kaylynn Finch finished in 3rd place with 8lbs. 6 ounces, and Asa Carr and Dawson Inzer won the Big Bass award with a 6 pounder on Lake Ouachita today.

The West Side High School band performed as an ensemble Saturday at Dover in the Region Band Solo/Ensemble Assessment. The band received a second division or "Excellent" rating.
