The community is encouraged to join in a whoop & holler green & white send-off for the Softball 🥎 and Baseball ⚾️ teams along Hwy. 16 as they travel to the state tournament in Harrison. The teams will leave campus at 8:15 am Thu 5/15 and go through town across the Narrows Bridge on Hwy. 16.
West Side recently had an author visit from West Side alumni, Grady Brown. Grady is the author of "Livi's Possiblitilites" and was on campus reading the book to our elementary students this week!

Senior Spotlight: Carleeann Taylor
Mrs. Teresa's Elementary GT students recently presented their last projects of the year. The GT students created a literacy fair for K-2 students to learn about various books from The Very Hungry Caterpillar to Harry Potter!
The Cap and Gown Walk spotlighting seniors and kindergarten students takes place this morning at 8:30 o'clock. Parents may attend by parking at Gathright Gym or Brady-Hipp Arena. They may view and take pictures of the walk at Gathright.

Students in our school’s Healthcare Careers group got to tour facilities at UAMS today to learn more about some of the programs they are interested in. We got to meet with instructors in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Diagnostic Sonography, and Radiology. Students got hands on, performing urinalyses and maternal ultrasounds.

The 2025 Skills USA Team, our most decorated team at WS, has done great so far! Randy Carr says our seniors, "...have won 3 state titles in Welding Fabrication and 2 in general welding and 1 silver at Nationals." Go Eagles!
