Juniors at West Side High School will be taking the state mandated ACT on Tuesday, March 9th. This test is important because it is used to determine college readiness, eligibility for college classes, and college scholarship amounts. Students were given prep materials and access to an online program to help them do well on the test. Thank you for helping us encourage your student to do his or her very best! #WatchUsSoar

PEP BUS FOR STUDENTS
If there is enough interest, West Side will transport Grade 7-12 students by pep bus to Saturday’s basketball Regional finals games at ICC in Brockwell (Izard County). The girls play at 4 p.m. and the boys at 7 p.m. Students must purchase tickets for both games before departure and display them in an email message on a smartphone when boarding the bus; tickets are $5 each. Students may also want to take at least $5-$10 in cash to spend on concessions or snacks. The guidelines for the trip, which requires at least 20 students:

Avenging an earlier loss, the Senior Boys beat Ridgefield Christian 85-73, securing a place for West Side teams in tomorrow’s Class 1A Region 2 finals. The girls play at 4 pm, the boys at 7 pm at ICC. #WatchUsSoar

Down most of the game vs. Viola, the Lady Eagles claimed the lead with just over 2 minutes remaining and earned a spot in tomorrow’s Regional final at 4 pm at ICC with a 52-46 victory. They play the winner of the Norfork-Rural Special game later today.
