SkillsUSA's Awards Ceremony to Stream Live

SkillsUSA will be live-streaming its awards ceremony from the national competition in Louisville, Ky., beginning at 5 p.m. CDT.

West Side is well represented by four state champions who competed earlier this week: Blaine Hipp, representing Arkansas in welding; and Joe Freeland, Austin Murphree, and Mason Treece, who are representing Arkansas in Metal Fabrication.

This is the third consecutive time for a gold medal welder to make the trip to nationals with instructor Randy Carr -- it is the fourth consecutive year for the Metal Fabrication team. At SkillsUSA Nationals this year, some 6,000 students are competing in a wide array of competitions.
