SENIOR SCHEDULE: May 9-17, 2019
These are the specifics of seniors’ final days on campus ... May 9-17.
EXAMS: Seniors will be notified by teachers no later than Thursday, May 9, the final regular day of class, whether they are exempt from exams, which are based on absences and grades (students must have at least a B average with no more than three absences).
On testing days, seniors who are exempt from tests may miss those class periods. Under no circumstances may a student leave campus and return the same day.
OTHER ACTIVITIES: During their final days, seniors will also take part in the Senior Breakfast, Walk of Honor, graduation practice, and, potentially, an off-campus photo shoot.
All days will follow the normal bell schedule.
Thursday, May 9, is the final regular class day, and all seniors should attend.
Friday May 10, is Review Day. Only seniors who are taking exams should attend. These students may attend part or all of the day.
Monday, May 13 is a testing day for afternoon classes -- 6th-8th Periods, and the day ends at 3:05. Seniors who are exempt from tests during those class periods may miss part or all of the day.
Tuesday, May 14, is a testing day for morning classes -- 1st-4th Periods, and the day ends at 11:20.
Thursday, May 16 — At 7 a.m., the senior breakfast begins in the Library, followed by the Walk of Honor, during which time seniors wear cap and gown to walk the halls of the Elementary School. Commencement practice will follow the Walk.
Friday, May 17 — Seniors should arrive at the band room by 6 p.m. to give time to take photos, eat light snacks, and take the marquee photo. Seniors who do not abide by dress code will not be allowed to participate in graduation exercises.
