Homecoming events take place this week, October 17-21, as West Side students get involved in an exciting week of activities designed to build schoolwide spirit! The week culminates on Friday with the presentation of the senior high and junior high homecoming courts — and crowning of the queens. The ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m.

As with most years, this year’s Homecoming will feature five dress-up days, and there will be a coin drive throughout the high school. Specific coins will be collected each day, with proceeds from the coin drive being donated to the school’s food pantry, Eagles Care. Other spirit activities for each grade level during the week include a poster contest, a banner contest, a scavenger hunt, and a homecoming dance.

The dress-up days:

  • Monday — ‘Merica Monday
  • Tuesday — Pink Out
  • Wednesday — Fake an Injury/Wilderness Wednesday for elementary
  • Thursday — Character Day
  • Friday — Green and White Day
