Seniors' final days on campus will be punctuated by the May 17 senior breakfast, with semester exams taking place on May 15-16 for those who are not exempt.
Seniors will be notified by teachers no later than Thursday, May 12, the final regular day of class, whether they are exempt from exams, which are based on absences and grades (students must have at least a B average with no more than three absences). From absence and grade information, they can determine if they can afford to miss part or all of a day Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday prior to exams.
The parent of a student who cannot take an exam scheduled on Monday or Tuesday (due to court, counseling, or medical appointment) must call the office to schedule a makeup exam.
All days will follow the normal bell schedule.
Thursday, May 11, is the final regular class day, and all seniors should attend unless they have a day available to take an absence for part or all of the day
Friday May 12, is Review Day. Only seniors who are taking exams should attend. These students may attend part or all of the day
Monday, May 15 is a testing day for afternoon classes -- 6th-8th Periods, and the day ends at 3:05. Seniors who are exempt from tests during those class periods may miss part or all of the day.
Tuesday, May 16, is a testing day for morning classes -- 1st-4th Periods, and the day ends at 11:20.
Wednesday, May 17 — 7 a.m., the senior breakfast begins, followed by the Walk of Honor, during which time seniors wear cap and gown to walk the halls of the Elementary School. Commencement practice will follow the Walk, and an off-campus photo shoot will take place.
On testing days, seniors who are exempt from tests may miss those class periods. Under no circumstances may a student leave campus and return the same day.
